Dr.Robert W. Beart

Dr. Robert W. Beart graduated from Harvard Medical School and had his surgical training at the University of Colorado and the Mayo Clinic. He is Board certified and re-certified in General and Colorectal Surgery. He worked at the Mayo Clinic from 1976 to 1992 and has been at the University of Southern California since 1992.

His special areas of interest include the management of colon and rectal cancer and recurrent colon and rectal cancer as well as inflammatory bowel disease and preservation of intestinal continence.

Dr. Andreas M. Kaiser

Dr. Andreas M. Kaiser received his Swiss Federal Diploma as a Physician in 1988 and his M.D. in 1989 from the University of Zurich. After an internship in surgical pathology, Dr. Kaiser entered the training program in surgery at the University Hospital of Zurich, 1990. He spent two years as a research fellow at Harvard Medical School in Boston from 1993-1995, and then finished his surgical training in 1998 by passing the qualifying exams of The Swiss Board of General Surgery.

Dr. Kaiser finalized his training in colorectal surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in March 2001. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Kaiser accepted in July 2001 the Faculty position of Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery.

Dr. Kaiser is fully board certified in general surgery and has received the EBSQ board certification in Coloproctology. He is a member of several professional associations to include The Swiss Surgical Society, The Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract and The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. In 2002 he received the Physician's Recognition Award by the American Medical Association.

Dr. Petar Vukasin

Dr. Petar Vukasin trained at the University of Southern California for both medical school and surgical training. Dr. Vukasin is Board certified in General and Colorectal Surgery.His special areas of interest include colon cancer, benign colorectal problems, anal incontinence, and sexually transmitted diseases. He practices at the University of Southern California and Glendale Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Glenn T. Ault

Dr. Glenn T. Ault graduated from the Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and completed his surgical training here at the University of Southern California. Dr. Ault completed his training in colorectal surgery in June 2004 at the Keck School of Medicine as well. He is board certified in General Surgery and is board certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery.

Upon completion of his colorectal training he joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor in July 2004. His special areas of interest include the management of colon and rectal cancer, recurrent colon and rectal cancer as well as benign colorectal problems including diverticulitis.

Because of an interest in education, Dr. Ault completed a Masters Degree in Education at USC in 1999. He is currently in the process of completing his work on a PhD in Educational Psychology and Technology at USC’s Rossier School of Education.
