| Dr. Andreas M. Kaiser
Dr. Andreas
M. Kaiser received his Swiss Federal Diploma as a Physician
in 1988 and his M.D. in 1989 from the University of Zurich. After
an internship in surgical pathology, Dr. Kaiser entered the training
program in surgery at the University Hospital of Zurich, 1990. He
spent two years as a research fellow at Harvard Medical School in
Boston from 1993-1995, and then finished his surgical training in
1998 by passing the qualifying exams of The Swiss Board of General
Surgery.
Dr. Kaiser finalized his training in colorectal surgery
at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California
in March 2001. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Kaiser accepted
in July 2001 the Faculty position of Assistant Professor of Clinical
Surgery.
Dr. Kaiser is fully board certified in general surgery
and has received the EBSQ board certification in Coloproctology.
He is a member of several professional associations to include The
Swiss Surgical Society, The Society for Surgery of the Alimentary
Tract and The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. In
2002 he received the Physician's Recognition Award by the American
Medical Association.
