You may participate in this study if:
Requirement
1
Pathologically proven invasive breast cancer originally identified clinically or mammographically and diagnosed by percutaneous biopsy.
2
Scheduled for surgical treatment – breast-conserving surgery followed by RT.
3
Women at least 18 years of age.
4
Signed informed consent (including HIPAA authorization).
You may not participate in this study if:
1
Pathologically proven DCIS with no invasive breast cancer prior to surgery.
2
Invasive breast cancer diagnosed by surgical excisional biopsy.
3
Clinical or mammographic findings where breast-conserving surgery is not an option.
4
Breast cancer that are clinically or mammographically fixed to skin.
5
Prior neoadjuvant chemotherapy prior to surgery.
6
Contraindications to CE-MRI exam (e.g., claustrophobia and allergy to gadolinium).
